Habitat Bank Applications
Habitat Banks are offsite Biodiversity Gain Sites that are set up on land to increase its biodiversity value, which would create 'biodiversity units' that can then be sold to developers. The developer can use the biodiversity units to achieve their 10% BNG.
The land must be secured either through a conservation covenant, or S106 agreement. This must be done prior to the site being able to be registered on the national sites register and units being sold.
The Council is offering a service for landowners to enter S106 agreements to secure Habitat Banks in the District.
By completing this registration form you are notifiying us of your Expression of Interest (EOI).
Dover District Council will then undertake an initial feasibility assessment.
