Business rates subsidy allowance declaration

To help us to work out if you are eligible to receive business rate relief, you must declare the full amount of subsidies that you have been given for the current and previous two financial years. This was previously referred to as State Aid.

Any assistance you have received from a public body might be counted towards your subsidy allowance and should be included on this form. This could be payments from central, regional or devolved governments, agencies or local authorities. This will include any mandatory or discretionary business grants you have received since April 2020 to assist your business during the Coronavirus pandemic.

Use this form to tell us about all aid you have received for the current and previous two financial years.

This form will ask you to provide

  • Your name and position within the organisation
  • Your business rates account reference
  • The full name of the ratepayer
  • Your business address and contact details
  • Correspondence address (if different from your current business address)
  • Details of all previous aid or subsidies received

This form must be completed by the ratepayer or someone authorised to do so on their behalf.

Please have this information ready as pages time-out after one hour.
