Invite the Chairman to Your Event

Before You Start

Please use this form to invite the Chairman of Dover District Council to your event. The Chairman welcomes invitations to attend events in the Dover District.

In inviting the Chairman to your event, please be aware that the Chairman often accepts engagements months in advance. For you to have the best possible chance of the Chairman attending your event it is helpful to give us as much notice as possible. It should be noted that the Chairman might not be able to accept invitations without sufficient notice. As a general guide, we would normally expect at least 7 working days notice.

The Chairman likes to be well briefed about any event to be attended so it is helpful if you can provide us with as much information as possible about it. You should also give some thought as to what you want to achieve by having the Chairman at your event and what you want the Chairman to do. This may include making a presentation, receiving a cheque, reading a lesson, making a speech or drawing a raffle, etc.

If the Chairman cannot attend your event, we may ask if you would like the Vice-Chairman to attend your event in place of the Chairman.

We will ask you

  • Your contact details
  • About your event
  • When you would like the Chairman to arrive
  • Dress code
  • Toast details
  • Parking and Refreshments
